| Vashon's Swim Team, The Seals, hold placement tryouts so that the coaches can assess a swimmer's skills and place him/her in the appropriate training group.
At this point Bronze, Silver and Gold are full.
Placement Tryouts will be held for Blue and White Groups.
White: Introduction to Competitive Swimming
Swimmers must be at least 6 yrs of age and be able to:
- Listen and follow directions without being disruptive
- Be comfortable in the water
- Be able to jump in and get to the side
- Be able to blow bubbles underwater
- ‘Swim’ 10 yds any style
Please come prepared to swim: Cap, good fitting goggles, swimsuit and towel. All swimmers who wish to be assessed need to be there at least 10 minutes before to get changed and ready to swim.
Try-outs do not guarantee a place in the team. When each level is full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list at the Park District.
