Why do it?
As we get older, the aging process is usually accompanied by losses in aerobic capacity, muscle size, power, speed, coordination and flexibility - how depressing! Training of even modest proportions can radically reduce this rate of decline.
Vashon Aquatic Club Masters program offers structured practice sessions with dryland training, set workouts and on-deck coaching. The program is geared to build skills, strength and endurance - whether you want to train for a triathalon, compete in a meet, or simply improve your swimming and keep healthy.
Description: This level of swimming is perfect for adults who want more emphasis on a workout and stroke development than recreational or lap swimming can offer. It is a coach run practice with a focus on developing core skills, technique and stamina. The 2 hr practice runs on Tuesday and Thursday for seven weeks.
Can I compete?
When you enroll into the program you will become a member of either USA Swimming or US Masters and will be able to compete as opportunities arise.
