Swimmers must be at least 7 yrs of age and be able to:
- Listen and follow directions without being disruptive

- Swim 50 yds Backstroke without stopping
- Swim 25 yds Breaststroke
- Swim 25 yds Dolphin Kick / Butterfly
- Push off the wall and glide in a streamline position
BLUE (8yrs & older):
The objective is the continued development of core skills and strength, with continued focus on stroke technique and developing good form and work habits.
Both Stroke School groups are expected to attend meets as 'Meet Practice', as they learn meet preparation, expectations and protocol. Swimmers will swim in a couple of events for experience.
Competitive Team
Bronze, Silver and Gold
Continues the emphasis on core skill development and stroke technique, as well as building stamina and endurance and speed. Coaches develop a session plan that tapers training for specific events throughout the season, allowing the swimmers to peak for the meets.
All swimmers are now prepared and expected to fully participate in meets.
Summer Adult Masters
A coach run workout with the emphasis on core skill development and stroke technique, as well as building endurance and speed. Swimmers can compete should they choose.
Once the coach has approved and placed the swimmer in the appropriate group, parents need to fill out a registration form for that session. All forms can be picked up from the Park District office or downloaded from our forms page.
New swimmers will need to tryout and be placed by a coach before registration.
